A Trip to Montréal in the Canadian Province of Québec is never complete without a visit to LaRonde... a family member of Six Flags located on Île Sainte-Hélène.

A Brand New Addition to LaRonde in 2004 is a ride called "Le Splash" which is appropriately titled. In this water ride, folks are seated in a 20-passenger boat that climbs a steep incline, navigates a very sharp bend and finally plunges into a reservoir filled with 1,325,000 litres of water. It’s the 15-metre drop that creates a 5-metre tidal wave!

The following captures were taken of the walkway above the reservoir where people feel the vengence of the tidal wave that's produced. You'll notice that the force of the wave almost knocked off the top of one of the young ladies featured.

One of Slicker Jr.'s favourite attractions at LaRonde is "L'Agora des Hautes Voltiges" where members of the Troop dive from heights of up to 90 feet into a 15 foot deep pool. Slicker Sr.'s favourite part of the show is oogling the female troop members.

While Slicker Jr. was in the Nintendo attraction competing in a Video Game Tournament, this photograper ventured next door to capture a couple of cuties on the "Tornade"...a ride that rotates ten times per minute and creates a momentum of up to 6.5 times the acceleration of gravity (G-Force).

Toward the end of the ride, one of the cuties seemed like she was going to lose her lunch!

So ends our annual trek to the Great White North. Slicker Jr. & this Webmaster played a little Golf, ate at some fine restaurants, went swimming, visited the relatives and spent time with Papa Slicker who is hanging in there at the Nursing Home in which he inhabits. There is always a feeling of sadness upon leaving Sweet Canada. However...she's only nine hours away from Philadelphia and we'll be back!
